At the age of 21, Meena Johnson had lost most of her family on her father’s side, including her father, uncle and grandma. Through those experiences, the understanding that you don’t know how much time you have now drives her to make the most of each day.

As a Chinese-Australian woman, she’s come up against prejudice and discrimination and she shares her story of feeling as if she always needed to prove herself and how she’s arrived at a place where she accepts who she is, embraces a good cry and picks herself back up.
